Actor Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views After Narrating Contentious Pandemic Feature

The acclaimed actor has given his voice to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of vaccinations and praises ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Provocative Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a bestselling book written by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for claims that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial figure Alex Jones. The producer took to social media praising Neeson's participation in the project.

A Firm Rebuttal

Representatives for Liam Neeson have released a comment pushing back against implications that he supports anti-vaccine beliefs.

"Many acknowledge that unethical practices may occur within the drug industry, but that should never be confused with opposition to vaccines," the response states. "Liam has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with Unicef reinforces his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

The statement added that the actor did not shape the film's messaging and that concerns about its content should be directed to the filmmakers.

As presented, the script spoken by Neeson features several controversial claims:

• It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "complete compliance" to government bodies.
• It argues that "science has become highly influenced by politics."
• Kennedy is featured saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
• The narration also criticizes Covid lockdowns, saying they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.

Historical Context and Current Disputes

The documentary also references a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the subject of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Last month, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, even with a new report from the global health body stating no such link has been found.

A Previous Position of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has previously shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."
