The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The platform declared this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and animated series.
The new cast member is joined by several other recently announced actors who will portray the group to reality, such as leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.
Although the role is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
